Biography

Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Rheumatology Ultrasound Lead for the Leeds NIHR funded Biomedical Research Centre and co-director for Student Education for the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine

He is currently the Ultrasound Lead for the Leeds NIHR funded Biomedical Research Centre and co-director for Student Education for the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He has published over 150 papers on imaging-related subjects, written several book chapters on ultrasound and co-edited the first EULAR sponsored ultrasound book called Applications of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatology. He was the co-ordinator of the ACR Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Group (2003-5). He was a founding co-chair of the OMERACT Ultrasound Special Interest Group (2004-2012). He is a current member of the EULAR ultrasound working group and the BSR Special Interest Group in Ultrasound. He has been a regular trainer on many international ultrasound (ACR, EULAR, APLAR) and national courses (BSR). He has previously organised the British Society of Rheumatology (BSR) course in 2004 and 2008, hosted the 2nd Advanced EULAR US Course in Leeds in Oct 2006 and hosted the main EULAR US courses in Leeds in 2011and 2016.
