After completing his basic medical training in India, Dr Lalam moved to the UK to pursue postgraduate medical training. After successfully finishing his basic surgical training & obtaining MRCS (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg, UK), he underwent Specialist Radiology training from Manchester Training Program, UK and obtained FRCR from Royal College of Radiologist, UK. He undertook Fellowship in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology at the prestigious Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in the UK and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in this hospital where he continues in this position to date. Dr Lalam has published widely on various topics in musculoskeletal radiology and peer reviewed with journals. He has also made a number of scientific presentations in international meetings and has been an invited lecturer at various courses and conferences throughout the world. Dr Lalam is a member of a number of Societies including British Society of Skeletal Radiology, International Skeletal Society (ISS) and the European Society of Skeletal Radiology (ESSR). He is a passionate teacher and is an active member of ISS Outreach Program which aims to deliver MSK education in countries where exposure of physicians to high quality teaching may be limited by financial and geographical constraints. Dr Lalam’s special interest include: spinal disorders including trauma and intervention, bone and soft tissue tumours, rheumatic diseases, ablation techniques in MSK radiology.
