Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Oswestry United Kingdom Dr Naomi Winn is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist working at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, UK. Her role involves all aspects of Musculoskeletal Radiology, both diagnostic and interventional. She is skilled in all imaging modalities, in particular, ultrasound, MRI and CT. She regularly performs image guided procedures, such as bone and soft tissue biopsy and image guided joint and tendon injections. Dr Winn has worked with the Rheumatologists to improve the ultrasound service for Rheumatology patients, and has helped stream-line the patient pathway for ultrasound investigation in suspected early inflammatory arthritis. She has helped train a Sonographer in Musculoskeletal ultrasound, in particular, in Rheumatology ultrasound, to help with service development. Her research interest is in imaging bone and soft tissue tumours. Her current ethics approved research project is investigating the role of ultrasound elastography in differentiating between benign and malignant soft tissue tumours. She has published a review article on sonoelastography in the musculoskeletal system, and also imaging of Paget’s disease of the bone. She has co-authored a book chapter on pitfalls of radiography in spine trauma and also spinal measurements. Dr Winn works as an Advisory Editor for the Musculoskeletal section of Clinical Radiology Journal and is a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Salford, UK. She also plays an active role in clinical radiological teaching for the trainees in her department.
