COURSE DESCRIPTION

Rheumatology Radiology Academy is a new initiative started by ADARRC team to promote teaching of key aspects of Rheumatology imaging (plain films, CT, Ultrasound, MRI & intervention) to the rheumatologists and general radiologists by conducting regular seminars & workshops. The training is delivered via a combination of didactic lectures, workshops & hands on training. Our course is first of its kind in the region.

The highlights of our 1st ARRA course include engaging and informative talks which will be delivered by experts in the field. A wide range of basic and advanced topics are covered incorporating current best practice.

Apart from the lectures, we have incorporated 4 image interpretation workshops & 2 hands on ultrasound training sessions. The image interpretation workshops will facilitate of interactive learning and practical training of day to day imaging. The faculty will present images and provide practical training in the interpretation of the different imaging modalities.

Learning objectives

  • To promote better understanding of when and how to request which imaging modality used in the diagnosis, study and follow up of various rheumatic diseases.
  • To promote focused training and education of residents, rheumatologists and radiologists in various imaging modalities.
  • To encourage active participation and interaction of the attendees with the faculty via workshops & hands on sessions.
  • To familiarize participants with current imaging techniques and latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatological diseases.
